I have just found this post on the FYT website. FYT are a Christian network dedicated to mission with young people at risk. They award affirming ASBO’s to young people who are deemed to be:

Here is the story as it was posted by an online guest at the FYT site…

“I was running for a train in a pathetically ‘girly’ way last night. The doors of the train were closing and I assumed I’d missed it. There was a small bunch of lads on the platform – a standard group of 14 year old Scouse scallies, all sportswear and skinhead haircuts. One of them saw me tottering down the stairs and leapt energetically onto the train and wedged its doors open, much to the dismay of the guard. “Ee are, yer get’n on this one?” I looked at the guard, then at the boy and said “Ah, cheers mate!” and squeezed past the lad onto the train. Sure, it was unorthodox, potentially hazardous, but what an act of chivalry from this lovely young man! Well, after his selfless act in front of his mates, I couldn’t lecture him on safety, could I? Whatever his name is, I salute him and award him an ASBO in absentia. God bless him!”
