West Wirral
The West Wirral project was originally managed by the legendary John Putman of E:merge and TVB fame. John visited the Wirral with TVB in 2001 and was snapped up by Dave Newton the following year. The West Wirral project has since grown and developed even further and for the last year and half the project has been run with great sucess by Sarah Hockley the team leader.
Whereas the other area projects are youth and schools work projects, the West Wirral Project is mainly focused on schools work. This is a direct response to the feedback from churches in the area who rightly pointed out that there were many very strong youth groups in the West of Wirral but few schools workers. Sarah is a qualified youth worker and has experience in both schools and youth work which is fantastic for this project. Sarah is actively involved in 8 schools delivering PULSE groups,drop ins, lessons and assemblies and she also founded and runs Worship Academy as part of her role.
