Catalyst 1

Catalyst 1 was a resounding success and lots of people have let us know that they will definitely be back next time with more young people. We have had lots of very positive feedback from right across the denominational spectrum and it has obviously had a great impact on lots of young people.

Despite the clear sucsess the working group are aware of a number of issues that we need to sort out before Catalyst 2. There is room for improvement in most aspects which is to be expected given that it was the first attempt.

The final numbers were around 310 young people, 30 leaders and then a further 50+ volunteers helping on the team. Here's to Catalyst 2 on the 26th April

Wirral YFC launches powerful Facebook group

Wirral YFC have launched a powerful new Facebook group called 100,000 Stories of Young People Sharing Hope!!!

As the intro to the group suggests...

"Our media is full of negative stories and images of young people. If these stories are to be believed then young people in the UK are a menace to our society and a bunch of no hopers. Window smashing, car jacking, drug taking, pensioner terrorising hooligans!

Its a lie!!! but hey, it sells papers.

This is a group were you can highlight those amazing stories of young people sharing hope that will never make the news!
Get your story on the wall and when we have 100,000 we will send it to Fleet Street!"

If you are registered on Facebook and would like to join please visit www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6321697649

Our very own Martin Dickson has been given the final word in a fascinating piece of research highlighted in the National Youth Agency Annual Newsletter.

The research, carried out by FYT and others, explored adult perspectives of young people and looked at where those attitudes come from.
