Crux Media comes to Wirral
The media is a powerful influence in today’s world. Young people are constantly being bombarded with different messages, what to buy, who to try and be, how their body should look…in short, how to live their life. Whether conscious of this or not, the media is often the first place a young person would look for advice and guidance as well as information and entertainment. YouTube for example holds the creativity and thoughts of millions of young people. This provides a massive platform to relevantly engage with young people in this media savvy generation.
Next week BYFC’s Crux Media Team will put this in to action by bringing their film school to Rock Ferry High. Film school is a week-long programme of workshops that teaches the basics of film-making whilst releasing each student’s creativity through story-telling.
Film School combines theoretical knowledge of Film Studies, practical hands-on experience of Film-Making, and opportunities for every student; to reflect on their lives, tell their own stories and work together to make their own short film. For more details visit the Crux Media website.
